Hello, Pumpkin Spice Lattes, cold crisp air and cozy layers! Fall is right around the corner and I am so ready to embrace the new season with oversized sweaters, tights and more of my favourite fashion pieces.
One of my favourite seasons for creating the best #OOTD’s is definitely Fall, but dressing for the period between the end of Summer and the beginning of Fall can feel a little tricky.
No worries! You can actually create the perfect Summer to Fall look in just a few steps.
Here are 3 easy steps to follow to create the perfect transitional look!
Step 1: Layer Lightly
Light layers are a definite must in acing the perfect Fall transitional look. My favourite way to layer lightly is with a pair of tights. A cute pair of tights is a great way to keep the heat in (without overheating) and look effortlessly chic! I layered my look with Micro Dot Tights, which are lightweight and so easy to pair with a cute mini skirt or dress.
Step 2: Incorporate Summer Pieces
Don't be afraid to keep wearing your favourite Summer pieces. There is no reason to put your Summer clothes in storage just yet. In fact, adding Summer pieces into my Fall wardrobe is a MUST when creating the perfect Fall look. My pro tip? Use a Summer piece that is earth-toned or neutral, like my khaki green skirt. It's a great way to effortlessly style and transition your wardrobe into Fall without purchasing any new pieces, and breaking the bank.
Step 3: Add Accessories
No outfit is complete without the perfect accessories! What I love about accessories is how they change from season-to-season. I completed my Fall transitional look with a classic black satchel, which is Fall’s IT bag, while black is the perfect neutral for all your Fall looks. No Fall accessories on hand? No worries! Plaid prints (try a bandana you can wear around your neck or as a headband), earth-toned jewelry and deep rich nail colours are another great way to ease into Fall.
And there you have it! Three easy steps to create the perfect transitional look for Fall! Now for a more serious question, where is my Pumpkin Spice Latte?!

Lauren
