How to Style Burgundy Tights for Spring

When you think of burgundy you naturally think of fall, but this colour isn't just for the colder months. In fact, you could say it's the unsung hero of spring!

Burgundy is a great hue to add to your spring wardrobe as it easily complements other spring colours by adding a touch of contrast.

Here’s how to style burgundy tights for spring!

Choose complementary colours

Consider spring colours when styling your burgundy tights. Since burgundy is a dark and rich colour, balance out the rest of your look by reaching for complementary hues like light blues, pale pinks, creamy beiges, whites or light greys. By staying on the softer side with the rest of your outfit, your burgundy tights will be the focus point for spring.

Pops of burgundy

Incorporate other pops of burgundy throughout your outfit so your tights don't stand alone. I added a burgundy beret to my look and a silk burgundy scarf to my bag to complete my look. Accessories in the same colour as your tights is the perfect companion to finish your outfit.

Opt for white booties

White is ideal for spring and fortunately, white booties are right on trend. Wear white booties with your burgundy tights for a seasonally appropriate look and let your burgundy tights steal the show. Again, there’s a touch of white in my outfit as well, so my whole outfit looks very pulled together.

Shirt Dress

A shirt dress always screams spring and this iteration has a modern take. With its baby blue and white pinstripe, it's the ideal pairing for burgundy tights. I love this outfit because it has me dreaming of Paris thanks to its rich colour palette and chic finishing touches.

Darker colours aren't necessarily thought of come spring, but as long as you balance them out and use complementary spring colours, you’ll have the perfect outfit in no time.
