The secret is out! A few months ago, our team walked into the den and faced the fire on Canada’s Dragon’s Den to pitch our unique Canadian business that has been changing the way women shop and find outfit inspiration.
Following an 8-month emotional journey that’s far from over, our experience will be aired nationally on CBC’s Dragons Den, October 11, 2018 at 8 pm.
In the TV segment, you’ll only get to see a small part of what really went down…

From major prep work, to pre-interviews, and the final call back, here’s what really went down behind-the-scenes on Dragons Den!
BEFORE THE DEN
It all began back in February, when Rachel’s team made the decision to audition for Dragons Den. To make it in front of the Dragons in Toronto, we first had to attend preliminary auditions in Montreal. We created our pitch, practiced for weeks, and on March 24, we made our way to the preliminary auditions.
After about a 1 hour wait that felt more like 6, we pitched in front of an executive producer. We thought the pitch went well and that we did our best, so all that was left to do was wait for a call back.
Weeks went by, months went by, and we still hadn’t heard anything from Dragons Den. Honestly, we started to think that maybe we never would.
But then, finally, an email came! We were invited to face the Dragons in Toronto with as little as 3 weeks to spare! Needless to say, we were excited, anxious, and horrified all at the same time.
IN THE DEN
In May, Rachel’s team headed to Toronto including our 3 co-founders and our head stylist. We had 4 models (and friends) waiting for us in the city who also joined us in the den to show off our tights styles to the Dragons.
We arrived at the CBC building way early, we were given contracts to sign and escorted into a waiting area with other companies who would face the Dragons that same day. We had no idea how long we would be there for, but we were told to expect to wait a long time.
Producers looked over the items we had in hand and gave us a quick run through of how things would go over in the den. Then it was off to another waiting room, to change, prep and wait for our turn to enter the den. After about a 3 hour wait, that moment came.
In the den, we faced the Dragons for close to an hour. At this point, it all feels like a blur. Emotions and tensions were high, both for us and between the Dragons. We pitched our business, stood our ground, and answered questions from the 6 Dragons the best we could.
The Dragons were fierce, perhaps we were fiercer.
AFTER THE DEN
So, what went down after we faced the Dragons? Did we get a deal? Did we trip on our heels and fall flat on our faces? You’re just going to have to wait to find out! Be sure to tune in to CBC’s Dragons Den, October 11, 2018 at 8 pm.
I’m so glad you can all be part of this journey! Thank you for your support.
