Christmas is just around the corner and after spending what’s surely a large sum of money on gifts, why not save a little by crafting your own holiday decorations and gift wrapping.
If you’ve ever received a box From Rachel, I have the perfect Holiday DIY project for you, which will allow you to put the finishing touches on all your gift wrapping and show just how thoughtful you really are. Enter, my DIY Christmas gift tags project!
All you need is a box From Rachel and a few other supplies to create these DIY Christmas gift tags to use on all your presents. The best part? This project only takes about 20 minutes.
Here’s how to create your own DIY Christmas gift tags using a box From Rachel!
Supplies:
- A From Rachel box
- Glue
- Glitter
- Scissors
- Festive items to decorate the tags with (we used these cute foam snowflakes and stars, bought at the dollar store)
- Pencil
- Hole puncher
- Ribbon
Instructions:
Step 1: First, open your box From Rachel and use one side of the box to trace the shape of your Christmas gift tags. Draw a regular shaped gift tag or think of Holiday imagery you can use like a snowman, or a Christmas sock. Keep the size of your gift tags in mind while drawing. You want them big enough so you can write a few words, but small enough to fit properly on a Christmas gift bag.
Step 2: Once you’re happy with the shape of your gift tags, start cutting them out of the box until you have your gift tags templates in hand.
Step 3: Next, start decorating! We put glue on the parts of the gift tag we wanted to cover in glitter and then left some open space to write names or a little message. Don’t be afraid to get creative and to decorate with different elements. We also used cute foam snowflakes and stars to stick on the tags to add a little more dimension.
Step 4: Now that you’re satisfied with your gift tags, punch a hole into the top of them and pass a cute ribbon through. Make sure the ribbon is long enough for you to attach to any gift bag.
And voila! Your DIY Christmas gift tags are complete! Add the name of your loved one or write a sweet message on them and your presents are ready to be given. Now, go get ready for the Christmas party!
Which of these DIY Christmas gift tags do you like best?

Rachel
